In choosing how we work together, we’ll provide guidance and direction while giving you the autonomy to decide how you would like to engage in therapy. There is no right or wrong way - we’ll find an approach that works for you.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR helps you process memories that continue to replay in your mind and carry distressing emotions. While it is commonly used to support recovery from traumatic experiences, EMDR can also be helpful for anxiety, phobias, grief and other experiences that continue to impact your emotional wellbeing.

Schema Therapy

Schema Therapy helps you understand and change longstanding patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that may have developed from early life experiences. It helps you to understand what your emotional needs are, how to heal from when your needs weren’t met and how to meet your own needs in the future. It can be helpful for difficulties with self-worth, relationships and trauma.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps you develop a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, rather than feeling controlled by them. ACT focusses on building acceptance with the things we can’t control and creating a meaningful life by focusing on living your life in accordance with what you value.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)

DBT helps you develop skills to better regulate emotions and build your capacity to sit with uncomfortable emotions, thoughts and physical sensations. It incorporates mindfulness to help you observe your internal experiences, so you can then respond differently rather than react. DBT can also help to build your awareness of triggers and provide practical skills for navigating conflict and strengthening relationships.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on building your awareness of the interactions between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. It can help you identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and beliefs that have developed over time, while building new ways of responding to stressful situations. CBT also provides practical strategies to support positive changes in the way you think, feel and behave.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is a fundamental part of therapy, helping you to develop a greater understanding of mental health difficulties, the factors that may contribute to them and how different therapies can support you. Developing this knowledge can help you recognise patterns, understand your experiences and feel more equipped to make meaningful changes.
